Plaines debut at Frome Festival

The contemporary classical group Plaines, recently recording at Andersonshelta are to debut their unique sound at this year's Frome Music Festival along with Van Morrison, Steeleye Span, Love and Arthur Lee and the Hip Hop Collective.

Combining the beautiful voice of Basira Ward-Davies (Troy soundtrack), Sisters Helen and Charlotte Saunders (Clarinet and Flute), ex BBC Musician of the Year Stephen Marquiss (Piano) and Musical chameleon Marco Anderson on electronics, drums, keyboards and guitar, the group take classical pieces and breath new life and modern vibes into Chopin, Mozart, Bach, Debussy and Faure, all set to stunning visuals by a local VJ.

"Fresh, innovative new arrangements of classical favourites featuring acoustic and electronic instruments and stunning visuals with a sensuous chill-out vibe." (Festival programme).
