The Carnival's in Town
At last, the long awaited new CD by Present Tense, "Carnival of Aliens" has been released on Bristolian Records and is available from this site.
Billed as "a landmark jazz recording" it features keyboardist and legendary fusion pioneer John Serry, awesome internationally reknown jazz improvisor Paul Dunmall and the PT power trio of Anderson-Gibbs-Williams.
Recorded live in the studio at the Victoria Rooms, Bristol and engineered by Jonathon Scott it has one composition from John and three from the PT/Dunmall/Serry axis, soundscapes by Beni Williams drawn from an eclectic mix of world musics; African mbiras and voices to Welsh llechiphones and funky popping basslines.
The album is now available and joins the growing stable of fine contemporary jazzish music on this site and we are proud to include it in our catalogue.
