Wild Strings Quartet impress on return gig

The Wild Strings Quartet impressed audience and management alike with their return to live performance last Sunday in Bristol. So much so that they have been booked to return to the venue next month.

In the lovely relaxed setting of Bar Oppo in the heart of Bristol, just off Park St, the cultural centre of the city, The Wild Strings Quartet returned to live work with a new line up but with some old favourites in the repertoire.

Playing tracks from their eponymous CD, the mixture of south american, flamenco and jazz elements was a perfect blend for the sunny afternoon in one of Bristol's newest and attractive venues, Bar Oppo.

The audience ranged from very young to not so young but all seemed to find the blend of cool vibes, good food, aromatic coffee and evocative music a real winner.

The Quartet will return to the venue on Thursday Feb 16th @ 8PM when, in the company of two other acts, there'll be more of the music of John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucia and the WSQ's own pastoral tones to weave some magic into the ether. It's guaranteed to be a busy night so get there early !

Venue: Bar Oppo, Park Avenue, Bristol (just off Park St) Date: Thursday 16th Feb @ 8PM
