The Jazz age, 1920-1945, an era of cars, bars, movie stars and gangsters, a time of glamour, destitution, class upheaval and the breeding ground for classic songs pouring from the pens of Gershwin, Porter, Berlin and a whole generation of music "hawkers" who desperately scoured "tin pan alley" seeking to establish for posterity a genius for lyrics and melody which would capture the spirit and energy of those amazing times. And now these timeless classics and the restless energy that created them is being faithfully re-created by some of the best jazz musicians in England today.
